Korea is so close to Japan, why not just take a trip?

With the current won/yen difference you might as well be buying real Jil Sander.

Should be out here on Friday I believe, which is a huge national holiday and the stores will incidentally be closed. How does that work, dudes?
Luckily I'm not really interested in any of the stuff, I've decided. It's Uniqlo first and foremost, and I'm not really into Jil Sander herself anyway. I'll check it out later if it's there but I'm doubtful that I'll buy any of it. I like Raf for Jil, but old Jil was stuff I passed on. It's the reason I can't buy any decent Jil Sander here; Jil Sander brand equity holds strongest in Asia with people who could afford it 10 years ago, i.e. old rich people who are probably even older and richer now, and thus they only bring in Jil Tailor Made line here, and not a single thing from the runway, it's a completely different brand here in Korea.

Hopefully I can get my mom to pick some up while she's in Hong Kong. I don't really like the 3 button style so I'll probably get some pants.

Sort of wondering myself why the hell they debut something that can't come out until the day after. I've lived in Korea long enough not to try to make sense of things though.

I'd think most places would be open on Friday and Sunday... at least they have been in years past, no?

But at the same time, launching a new line the day before a major holiday? eh... Anyway, I'll be right by the Gangnam store on Friday morning anyway so I'll stop by and look for the Chesterfield.

If I have time over lunch I'll just stop by and ask.

I think Uniqlo might be in cahoots with Lotte Inc, and Lotte retail takes the full 3 day break I believe, for this weekend I am only expecting convenience stores, some restaurants, and the usual Itaewon stuff to be open.

I have a Uniqlo real close to me but it's an edited small store, and then the Lotte flagship down the street will be closed til Monday, I bet...

I've been wanting that chesterfield coat but now I'm not so sure anymore. It seems too dressy to wear with just jeans or something. What do you guys think?
