That buckle is friggin huge. The last is OK, but the buckle is something you'd see on a Buccaneer in the Caribbean circa 17th century.

Okay thanks for the input. I felt similarly about the buckle, however I think the close proximity of the picture makes the buckle a bit bigger. From eye level to the floor its a bit less "Swash-bucklery".

buckle is indeed very big, but in the first linked pic you posted with the jeans, I think it looks pretty good...

Yeah, I got a great deal on them too in a tent sale on sunset boulevard. They were made by "Petterson Haberdashery" a name I hadn't heard of before then, but he has a boutique in the area. I payed $150, 75% off original price, so I forgave the buckle being a tad on the large side.

Perhaps; but, when you wear them that is all you and others will notice. The buckle is way too big.

Casualwear only. Chunky buckles are ok once in awhile. Makes the sleek shoes even more appreciated.

The buckle might be changed.
A good cobbler could advise whether the strap
absolutely requires such an egregious buckle.

You guys are lazy. I would have expected one of you to post a pirate pic and/or parrot by now.

Sheesh.
