You forgot to paypal me $2300, so I didn't go back for it. I think that poor bastards still have it on hold for me.

Duckie Brown is becoming my favorite brand

I was never a huge fan of Duckie Brown, but some of the outerwear from this season is really nice in person - in particular, the waxed cotton twill peacoat. If someone wants to send me a late b-day present (size 38), I will not protest.

I am seriously contemplating getting that coat. It is quite substantial and feels like it could stop a bullet. I also really like their black wool pea-coat they have this season too. I think it might be the same (or very similar to the one) from last season. I would purchase that but I already have a black peacoat (shawl collar NDG from fw 07), so i dont really need two black coats.

Not sure if you were able to get to Barneys when you were in town, but they has some really nice DB stuff too. A very different buy than Odin (different customer base), and featured much more expensive items. The stuff there was great and classic, but super expensive (e.g. coats in balzers were in the 3k range - more expensive or about the same as Lanvin, which is imported).

Some of DB's stuff is out there ( much of te runway stuff is quite different than what store's actually buy), but the more classic items are great, and if you can stomach the price, worth it. It is a shame they arent carried by more retailers, maybe that will change though.

I wouldn't expect you to care about my unsolicited opinion JOA, but those Redwings on the right are pretty ugly. Is that a square toe?

I don't mind the hate. I know that these are somewhat unpopular on the forum, but I've been looking for a moc-toe chukka/oxford for a bit now (similar to the old LL Bean Ranger Mocs from my youth). These are very well made (and in the USA, a big factor for me). I guess I tend to look at them as I have since I was a teenager--they're my winter Sperry's.

But, definitely not a square toe. Please don't lump me into that category!

Where did you get a bottle Kelvin?
I wanted to get one ever since I found out about the collab a few days ago.
