Ah Lange ... a company that belives in building a watch if not in the best possible way ... at least in the most expensive possible way.

So beautiful.

This is the only watch I own (beside a $150 Caravelle by Bulova one I bought because I'm a poor 17 year old university student who is struggling to pay for school lol). It was left to me by my Dzedo (grandfather) when he passed away a few years ago. It is by far my most prized possession at the moment. I'm not entirely sure if it is a high end watch (I know Rolex is a luxury brand, but I'm not sure if it falls in their entry level lineup or if it is a bit nicer), so if there is anyone who does know anything more about it, I'd be happy to hear it. Thanks

(By the way, it says "Tudor Prince Oysterdate" on the face; my photography skills are akin to my fashon skills :p)

Plat. The Lange guys refer to it as the "Stealth"

They have nicks for different watches: "Anniversary" "RL" "Darth" etc.

Sure, I'm in NYC often but you never return PMs.

I get a dozen a day and they cloud up my box. I just deleted a few hundred though, so it should be easier. Anyway, don't you have my number?

Have you tried on a normal-sized Portuguese? It may not wear as large as you imagine.

Also, it's worth noting that the dial design and case shape of the Portuguese really aren't that unique--at least, they weren't originally. Many mid-century watches were styled similarly. It was the size and use of a pocketwatch movement that made the watch special.

At one point I owned the IWC 3531 (small Portuguese) in all 3 configurations. There was also a platinum model, but it had center seconds.
