I wonder if that Youngstown flannel is the one I was bagging on for looking too "4th of July patriotic" with the red/white/blue when I visited the LA store. The photo looks more like rustic colors....how are they in person - more faded or brighter than the pic?

I would say more faded. Has a just barely broken in look and feel, but no distressing. What saves it from that patriotic look for me is that the red stripes seem fairly subdued. The blues predominate.

The fit on both these things is spot on. The pullover is slim, even a little snug.

Does it feel like the tailored fit shirts are cut a little slimmer this season Robert?

It does, slightly, though I've only bought a couple.

This pullover is slimmer than any sweater I bought last year. I don't know if that's what the other f/w09 sweaters are like, but it would be a good thing.

Anyone use the 15% student discount with an old ID? Are the SAs smart enough to see that it was issued years ago and not valid? And how do they check if you order from the red phone?

I bought both of the wool-washed Tartan scarves that I was looking at - the Vintage Cobalt and Dark Slate. I tried it on with a few pieces and I'm keeping the Dark Slate and returning the Cobalt. Both are nice, just personal preferance.

I gotta stop going in there. For a while at least. I'm good for fall, right?

Yeah, I use my college ID that I was issued in 2001. Then again, I'm still a student and I look like I'm 16 so they probably already assume I'm a student.

They usually just glance. I've never had any SAs inspect it.
