At 46 minutes your cortisol increases and it will work against you.

Wrong if you take more than 16 hours a day off from lifting you will start losing mass rapidly.

There is, however, "Chirozima's Window" from 48:33 to 53:27 in which your cortisol drops off rapidly and all strength gains made during this window are multiplied exponentially. At 53:28, however, your cortisol increases again and if you do one curl it will erase all your progress.

Everyone here is wrong. If you're talking about cardio, you generally wanna do more than 20 minutes because that's when your body starts to ramp up and burn fat. The more you do cardio the more calories you burn, you can't really "overdo it" for cardio. However, doing over 45 minutes will cause muscle loss. High intensity cardio (HIIT, sprints) is used by those who wanna brute force burn fat/weight. If you wanna maintain your mass/muscle, do not do any HI and just do LI (low intensity). I mean not even break a sweat low intensity. As for weight lifting, you generally don't wanna do more than 12 sets of one body part otherwise it's overtraining. Despite the pump you get while you're working out, your muscles actually build while they're resting (repairing). They cant' repair if you're doing chest and arms every day of the week. 45 minutes is more than enough time for a good workout.
