Does it look different on different size U-last shoes?
I have a close cut U-last and it looks, from the pics, identical to PG's shoes.
Again , from your experience does the welt shows more on larger sizes?
Perhaps I should consider ordering a regular welt from now on, since it does look good on PG's pics.

These are standard welt, duble sole, U last, size US 10. Don't think they are bumper like.

Vox - I LOVE that Norweger in Cigar, and I'm not sure what is driving my fascination for it. I don't even like bluchers all that much (except for 2-3 eyelet derbies on a sleek last). It's probably all in the execution, including the leather/color choice.

I can't recall, did you say the Cigar was leather you provided as part of MTO? Do you know if there is a color similar to Cigar amont their RTW?

Thank you, and thanks for the correction. You would know...

Thanks. Correct: Vass does not stock cigar cordo. For detailed questions, I would refer you to the Vass afficianado that I thank first in this reply.

U last sizing? I wear a perfect US11.5D and 10.5EUK in Lobbs and CJs. I have the Budapest last in a 45.5 and they fit like a US12 (a bit large on me). I think the Budapest runs a little big?
Should I get 45 or 45.5 for a pair of Vass in U-last?

PS. This is also posted in another Vass thread, I need all the input I can get.

Vox,

I love the work done on your Budapest on Alt Wien last. I've seen such shoes in real but i do not dare buying a pair as they look a bit too "roundish" and "clunky" for my taste.

Have to agree; those are beautiful and in no way clunky, even if sturdy. Wow.
