It was paced well and fun to watch until he pressed the jacket with no press cloth between the jacket and the iron. Turned into a horror film.

I see well known tailors press suits of very fine material as Super 180s without press cloth, the first time it was shock for me(even though not my suit!) but now no more. More surprise for me is that very old tailors make like this.

Some new irons ones have a teflon type base that doesn't require you use a press cloth. You can still get some shine and burn the cloth if the temperature is too high. But I use this type iron directly on cloth sometimes. Depends on the cloth and what I am doing.
I wouldn't press a new garment that way. His method is ironing, not pressing. Pressing, you lift the iron from the garment and move it to the next spot. You can iron a shirt like that, not a suit jacket.

Yes you correct the ones I see iron(slide), not press(lift and put down each time), without press cloth. But the iron this tailors use for sure no have Teflon, are ancient irons more ancient than tailors!
