^I like simple too. Thanks, M. I'm thinking of getting mine through Alfred Sargent's new MTO program. Have you considered that? Or maybe through Ron Rider. I bet he'd be able to get the leather in the exact shade you want.
Thanks for finding them! I searched a bit and couldn't. Very nice.
They are an excellent shoe. And if I didn't have a great pair of half brogue Aldens in what Doc calls a "fiery" chestnut, I'd probably go w/ these. But I'm trying to keep the collection small -- just one full brogue, one half brogue, one longwing, etc. I don't have a shoe like the Dover, and in that style I don't think I'd want anything but the Dover, which is probably beyond me right now.
Wow. These are spectacular. Thanks. I have a similar pair of ancient, thrifted Florsheims being resoled in the city now. I'm still thinking punched caps, plain caps, or plain derbies are the way to go.

thanks. the double monks are santoni butler , a discontinued model that is elusive to get. they have a laceup model , bishop.
