The White selvedge is now marked down to $18.99 in stores

They're also handing out "25% off" coupons for the new 1969 denim line in stores, I'm hoping that the rise is a little higher.

Ya see, I didn't do that check, and now my white denim has 2 big brown stains on the front of the upper leg where I tried to clean. F'n shame.

Re-scored these yesterday in paramus, NJ store for just $18.99. Nice sale, eh? Good to have you back Whitey.

Also got a coupon handed to me yesterday for 40% one item from Aug 3-7. Doesn't say I can't use them on the new jeans, so.....

40% off is pret-tttyyy good.

went to gap yesterday, no new denim and the markdowns on the old jeans werent that great. white jeans were 44 in big sizes, same with the raw(?) ones and the distressed ones. i picked up the distressed pair for 19 bucks...not bad for a selvage japaneese denim pair of beater jeans

Just visited my local Gap, no new denim and no old denim either. Was hoping to at least snag a pair of the old ones...

I work at Gap. I haven't actually seen a pair, but I can share some details about the men's offerings...

- Hidden rivets (they're calling them "bar tacks") on back pockets (!)
- Blue rivet on coin pocket is the new "signature detail"; this and printed "1969" on back waistband are the only external branding
- New fabrics, washes (Most jeans come in a dark/rinse-type wash, "Authentic" comes in a rigid denim I believe, standard array of washes/shades with some actually decent and some ghastly "destruction" ****)
- New fits: Authentic and Skinny (same as before, I believe, but now a regular part of the line-up), and apparently a "buckle-back" jean
- Authentic: A slimmer version of their Standard fit
- Triple-folded belt loops (I'm not knowledgeable enough to know what this means)
- Single needle lock-stitching (Again, I don't know what this pertains to or really means in practical terms)
- Low Rise Straight is now called simply "Straight"
- At least some fits will come in selvedge versions (definitely Authentic will)
- Selvedge jeans will continue to have selvedge coin pocket, as far as I can tell
- All fits have been tweaked somewhat
- "Finished" pockets (?) with "improved pocket scoop" in front pockets
- Releasing July 27th

All of the fabrication and production was totally revamped and done by Gap to keep costs down, so that they will rival "premium denim". Obviously this is supposed to refer to 7FAM, CoH, etc. but I can't deny that they've actually surprised and impressed me. For Gap, it sounds like really good stuff. Hell, for $60, I'm actually looking forward to it.

I saw a pair today at the bloor and younge gap store in Toronto, but I don't have enough knowledge of jeans to compare it to something else.

The cut and feel is nothing like my 3sixteens, but its a totally different price range.

were these the new ones? I might take a look what were they priced at, Canadian prices always tend to be weird

According to previous posts, the white selvage jeans will shrink up to 2" on the inseam. How much shrinkage around the waist is expected?
