I'm more a fan of the Hollister Hovey blog look. The 'clutter of curiosities' and randomly assembled antiques.

I was at a flea market this weekend, and a vendor was selling framed prints of historic maps of local cities. I asked if he had any unframed one, and he confided that he was just buying them off the internet, and then making his money as a frame shop.

So, anyway, here is roughly what they look like. They are about $25 on eBay, plus shipping. Lots of US cities, many of them booming industrial cities (from 100 years ago, of course). Size is like 50" x 35", although you can get them as small as post cards. They also have a small legend at the bottom, with usually 25-50+ 'points of attraction', like major churches, universities, factories, town hall, etc marked. I plan to get them for the city I live in (my block is visible) and perhaps a city I grew up near.
