How much would you pay for a Cuban bottle which isn't available in the USA?

Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco carries it, even stocking some well aged and rare bottles. With that said, you also pay handsomely for it.

hopefully very little. there a much better rums that come from other countries and cost the same amount or less, or from cuba itself better rums ar produced there by far but get very little pubilcity. one just needs to visit cuba, the hotels are not that cheap, but food, sex a dn decnte rum are, even there you will spend alot of money on rum, dante xo is defiently cheaper but still caro just because soemthig is hard to get does make it worht purchasing.

Who cares, it's crap. For a big boys rum try Zacapa XO or Zacapa 23 YO. Goes down like nothin' else.

Having consumed copious quantities of Havana Club, I would say it compares with rum in the 10 to 15 USD range in the US, e.g. nothing special at all.

I just usually don't drink Rum here at home. When I'm on vacation in the Dominican Republic I spend the whole evening with Brugal. But the point is that
1. it just doesn't taste the same when you're not there (perhaps not enough pollution, putas and motoconchos in Germany?)
2. the stuff you buy at the super market (here Havana Club) tastes nothing like the good stuff
