it looks exactly like the houndstooth pants i bought from blue in green earlier.

Respectfully, that looks nothing like the Minnis posted in this thread.

You're right, it's less jagged and potentially even chunkier than the Minnis. Any ideas about what this one is?

I think that would make a nice country suit.

To get things back to houndstooth, this is from Harrisons. It's a plain worsted, nothing flannel about it, from their Fine Classics bunch.

It is very like the Lesser posted a page ago and can do funny things with your eyes if you look at it a certain way.

Thank you.

Hah! Excuse me while I get my hat...

That would be such a strange suit. I think many would have trouble looking at it and figuring it out.

I tried rotating the picture right, but only one dimension of permutation just isn't up to Rubik's grade.

See, this is quite a different suit, it has a much darker effect. Again, I would get the black and white as a jacket or in worsted cashmere as a special suit purely for certain social occasions. And, I'm talking cashmere turtleneck or polo collar, not woven shirt and silk tie.

Don't know who makes this but I bought what Oxxford had left of this in navy and one in black/grey, less contrast than this picture. The cloth is a 10/11 ounce, wool/cashmere blend. Everyone that bought it in blue, bought it in black and everyone that bought it in black came back and bought the blue except one client. It s a great cloth and makes a beautiful jacket.
