Factual errors/dumb stuff in movies that really ruin it for you

Does anyone remember that movie Cruel Intentions? Just saw it yesterday. In the final scene Reese Witherspoon is driving in what appears to be a Nevada desert. A few seconds later it zooms out to her driving on a NYC highway. WTF?

Whenever computers or hacking are part of the plot, i generally get really annoyed. Swordfish was terrible for this. It's like the writers take terms they've read or heard of and then combine them in ways that don't make any sense at all. It really irritates me.

Yeah, but at negative 400 something degrees, even slowed down heat exchange is still pretty dramatic.

I don't think he was alive when he froze though.

^^^Nah, he let out his breath too fast, would have collapsed his lungs/chest due to the pressure differences. Probably killed him fast.

As far as **** that bothers me: Whenever videogames are depicted in TV or Movies they are always like the PC OS marsupialedly flashy or super ****** and look like a 12YO made them in flash.

I don't think this has anything to do with my comment. Its not the letting your breath out too fast that kills you, its the holding your breath that kills you.

I'm allways annoyed in movies whenever a craps table is shown a 7 will be rolled and everyone cheers. In real craps a 7 only wins if the point hasn't been set, most of the time a 7 is very bad. It ends the roll and everyone loses all their bets.

A Straight flush is one of the most rare hands in poker, the odds of getting it are huge, yet in every movie that has poker in it someone gets one, sometimes someone beats a straight flush with a higher one.

The most specificly broken plot point I've ever seen was in Memoirs of a Geisha. I was willing to suspend disbelief and pretend that all the characters were speaking Japanese instead of English (It's a common device used to avoid subtitles), but when the Americans came along and everyone could speak to each other just fine that pissed me off.

My nah was in the affirmative. Like Nah, I dont think he was alive either.

Also things that piss me off: Almost every single part involving cars, society, relations, people, etc in the Fast and Furious series. WTF was with that metal plate falling off the Eclipse in the first movie? Or in the 3rd the stupid southern kid is taking classes entirely in Japanese though he doesn't understand any.

Welcome to product placement boys. Apple has better marketing and more artsy types making the movies favoring Apple. It annoys me more on TV shows where they are obviously using a Mac but the Apple logo has been removed. In the Matrix, it looks like they are using Linux.

Yeah this really gets to me too. It's always some really cheezy Flash app as the console too. In Independence Day when Jeff Goldbloom gives the alien "computer a cold" I almost rolled my eyes out of my sockets.

Usually only on TV, but when the camera is shooting through the
windshield, the column shift automatic is often clearly in the "Park"
position.

Yeah, it's just a mock-up of a car interior in a studio and the "outside" is
green screen, but to car guys, the selector in Park is annoying.

but to be true, almost ANY film with a "hacker" like swordfish killed the atmosphere for me ..

That's pretty much every defibrilation scene that I've ever watched. Goes like this: Clear (shock) Damn it! Clear (shock) Come on you bastard/Don't die on me! Clear (shock) and so on and so forth. What's wrong with shocking and then shocking again?

It's pretty much worthless. You've got to shock and then do another two minutes of chest compressions before reevaluating if there is a shockable rhythym.
