Mr. Moo, perhaps if Ambrosi visits San Francisco's Castro district, you can ask him yourself as to what a client gets for $700

just had my first meeting, went very well.

But be advised, their luggage is currently MIA. So they basically have nothing besides the clothes on their backs, I told them to call the front desk and they brought a measuring tape thing for my consultation. I'll be returning tomorrow to look at their fabric books to pick out some stuff (I brought my own today), that is pending the arrival of their luggage.

What a pain though, they had 12 jackets and 20 pairs of pants on there. Stupid Al Italia, I hope everything is recovered.

And Foof - stop trying to chit chat on the phone during my consultation ;-)

I don't think they have cell numbers, but call the hotel main line and connect to their room phone, its room 2819 I believe. They're staying in this evening since their client book with numbers and everything was in the luggage and they don't have a way of contacting people to let them know what's up.

that's weird, they were answering all calls when I was there.

Oh, nevermind, Foof was probably on the line each time you called.

Big time is big time, no matter how many times it picks up the phone to call.

they got all of their luggage in so lots of fittings are going on now. I picked out the fabric for pair #2 (#1 is a solid midnight navy ordered through Roger here), its a medium grey worsted wool, and I think Ambrosi said its the same fabric Foof has for a pair. I forget. I was thickclose to picking up a pair in this beautiful brown worsted wool, but next time.

On another note, I am now amazed. The guy who arrived just after me for a fitting must have been the biggest douche bag and poser (yes, dropping that word as its that bad) I have ever seen. I work in finance so the level of douche baggery can be quite high, but this guy blew them out of the water. Yes, sir, you better stop going out drinking and partying all night, not because you're a balding 45 year old, but because dropping big money on bespoke wont do much to hide that gut.

You've never seen me? I've got some big bike shorts to fill.
