Ok... this is a rather bullshit sighting, but i assume certain people might care.

Today on 14th street, I saw that dude from Project Runway (season 2) named Santino Rice.

ps.... I went to the High Line today. It is cool and i recommend going there for a walk. A nice addition to the West Side.

Just met the band Phoenix. They're cool guys. Had to buy tickets for 150% of the original price though.

.

Blane from the last season served me my hot chocolate in West Seattle a couple of weeks ago. I seem to run into the Project Runway designers or models regardless of the city I'm in . . . usually with them working in the service industry.

Tear.

I am anxiously awaiting my expected/unexpected encounter with Chris Kimball from America's Test Kictchen/Cook's Illustrated. My wife and I bought a condo a few doors down from him in the South End of Boston recently. I haven't spotted the ubiquitous bow tie in his Maserati yet.

Tangential to this thread, does anyone have famous neighbours? I will respect their privacy and won't say exactly who they are but in our building we have as neighbours an art photographer and two members of a legendary rock band. It's always a little odd seing them taking the trash out and stuff like that.

My friend plays basketball at a gym in Spring, Texas. He told me on Monday Glen "Big Baby" Davis came in to play. It was 5 on 5 full court and my friend was guarding Big Baby and actually beat his team. As soon as the game ended, Big Baby pulled a Lebron James and just walked off the court. He said Big Baby was only about 6-5 or 6-6 but was as wide as a door.

My friend has also played against Slim Thug and Mike Jones before in the same gym.

I haven't seen him, but I've heard that he's been working out at the UH rec center this summer. It seems to be a popular destination for athletes, since I've heard that Vince Young and Donald Driver (among others) have worked out there. Of course, I never saw anyone famous when I was a student there

It's an amazing facility, and the university really should use it as a selling point for prospective students.

I haven't yet moved, but when I finish work on my new place, Senator Paul Sarbanes will be right behind my house. Just now I live next to a nursing home and an unlicensed mental facility... I don't think any of them are famous.

That sounds like a pretty quiet area. No wonder you react so strongly to violent gravel displacement!

It's tough enough trying to unload a place with those kinds of liabilities, so I don't need whatever improvements I've put in screwed up by public servants! I've already met the mailman in the new neighborhood, and he is far more conscientious!

William Sessions lived next to my grandmother. Around the corner (not at the same time) was Jack Casady.

Leon Klinghoffer lived in our building, and Richard Gere down the street (again, not at the same time).
