No. You can't they will just stretch back out. you dryer doesn't get that hot and neither does your wash machine.

no sorry it won't work either. the industrial machines are really the only thing that will give you "true" shrinkage.

I don't understand this. Why can't a home oven get as hot as an industrial oven? If a home oven can get hot enough to vaporize everything in its self-cleaning cycle, it must get hot enough to shrink cloth (in self-cleaning mode, it can probably get hot enough to ignite the cotton). How hot do you need to get to shrink the jeans? Obviously, the Easy-Bake oven is out of the question, but why can't a regular oven work?

ovens aren't dryers. Ovens bake and broil . Ovens do not dry jean ( well are not suppose to dry or shrink jeans). we are talking about denim not shrinky dinks.

I had one of those sets, too.
But seriously, how is the heating process any different between what a commercial factory might do and what you can do in an oven? Isn't heat, heat? If a home oven gets hot enough, why won't it work?
