Sometimes that may involve getting a bargain. Other times, eschewing that bargain in favour of providing real support to the industry. I'm sure that I'll be accused of all sorts of things. However, I'm just an ordinary guy with very little money to spend. However, I do appreciate nice things and realise that sometimes (just sometimes), I'll have to pay a premium for them.

Thanks again

And we're eagerly awaiting the pics of your visit to the AS factory as well as your 2nd and 3rd AS MTOs!

Friggin small-timers.

You guys DESERVE to wear square-toed, rubber-soled Kenneth Coles for the rest of your life.

Yes it was. This is the problem as the shoes were from the premier line, which are also (as per my original post) supplied to other companies either rebadged or renamed. It would have put AS in a difficult situation with larger customers.

Hi, I started to compose it yesterday, but I got too tired to finish it and I didn't want to bore people

Hopefully, I should be able to get it up today.

I would value you some advice, do you think that my visit is worthy of a new thread, or should I tact it onto the end of an existing thread (I'm thinking the one about Alfred Sargent...gone)?

I would like to start a new thread, but I don't want to take up space with my indulgent ramblings.

I do hope everyone likes the shoes as much as I do!!

Thanks

Clint

^ Good idea. Manton visited some Northampton makers a while back and did a piece that was quite appreciated. Can't see how yours would be less interesting to read!
