Well you are extremely ill-informed. That you have not heard of something comes as no great surprise.

Knave! Draw your sword! Let the edge of this blade be the justice that imprisons your soul!

Alas, you are forgiven. Let your spit be the water that rejuvenates my ancestors ghosts!

I accept your cowardice as an apology and an admission of my general superiority over you and of all you know and possess.

Do not rase my ire, lest I smite you insensible with one fell blow of my duke.

I'm not above looking it up, especially since I haven't read the book since college. Benjy's mentally challenged consciousness associates smells with concepts, it seems. Caddy smelled like trees until she lost her virginity, which upset Benjy. I guess he associated that smell with her purity. The question remains, though. Why would she smell like trees when she was a virgin but not after?

Hmm, thanks. Now I'm wondering why he chose trees to represent a woman's virtue. Because in my opinion, trees aren't virtuous at all. Always taking to bed every night birds and squirrels. With the latter always having at their nuts.

Clancy Martin's "How to Sell."

Great coming of age book that I could see a lot of people on here enjoying. John Updike-ish; Its a quick read, and I highly recommend looking it up.

I'm still working on 1984. I just can't seem to get into it.
