Six months ago I stumbled on this site and have been dropping by a few times a week to learn the basics. I was looking through pictures from my 19th birthday last week and found a couple pre-SF (yes, those are black slacks paired with a black blazer to make a "suit") to compare to the recent ones. Attachment 22665 I had to laugh at how profound the difference is, especially given how much I still have to learn. Attachment 22666 Attachment 22667 Attachment 22668 Also, girls are way more likely to believe a little BS about your age when you're wearing a suit

Welcome to SF.
Thank you for posting the photos.
Anyone who makes an effort to dress well gets top points in my book.
I'll leave it to others to critique the photos.
Again, welcome to the party

Thanks, it's been a great resource so far. It's one of those places where you really don't realize how little you know until you log on.

I think the last picture gives two very good reasons for dressing nicely

Huge improvement but you still need a pocket square.

You don't have to go nuts and have a ton complimenting your ties. I don't wear a suit or sportcoat often so I currently only have a plain white linen square. I find it adds a lot to my appearance.

Nitpicking... Guys, you're missing the forest for the trees, IMO.

Anyway... Very nice transformation. I especially like the arm candy in the last photo. Nice!

Who made the suit? I would have guessed RLBL, but the gorge looks a little high for that. EDIT: Wait, I'm not sure now - is it RLBL? I really think it might be.

Not really. It's a very simple, cheap and easy addition to his look. It's not like we suggested that he run out and buy a pair of EGs. Like I said though, it's a huge improvement. He did extremely well and it's readily apparent.

Welcome! I I like to see introductory posts that are NOT trainwrecks.

Plus, this lady you have pictured makes my peepee feel funny.

The thing I like with you is instead of being obssessed with labels and names , you have bought some clothes who fit you....
That's the best lesson that you give to a lot of sfers...
Ill-fitting suits always look bad...
You went for the classy younger look without pocket square and it suits you...
Well done..
