I was just going through the arduous process of putting my CD collection onto the iPod and I have found a few purchases that make me cringe and wonder what i was on.

My main culprits are Big Willie Style and Willennium both by Will Smith. I could try and pretend I was being ironic but the sad truth is i wasn't.

Hopefully there will be some that are worse out there.

I bought a lot facepalm worthy stuff when I was a kid, but the last and only regretful album purchase I've had as an adult was zwan's "mary star of the sea" record.

MSOTS > Any Pumpkins album

I regret buying-

All of REM (and seeing them in concert)
All of Smashing Pumpkins (and seeing them in concert)
All of The Mars Volta
Portishead, Placebo, Sleepy Jackson, Silversun Pickups, Prodigy, The Comas + more

My taste has matured.

Portishead isn't too bad--you know something has snob appeal when they still release vinyl for their albums.

I usually research albums first before a purchase but there is still a few:

T.I. - I'm Serious, T.I. vs. T.I.P., Paper Trail
The Game - Doctor's Advocate

Any "best of" comp. albums like: Tupac, DMX, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Rob Zombie etc.
