The one the left I have been searching for a long time. I consider it the ultimate maroon/wine conservative business dress tie. The one in the middle is just droolworthy.

When you drool over a soporific tie, is it on your pillow?

If you had not said Capelli, I would have said Drakes/Marinella/H&B. Not sure why I can't get into printed ties

NorCal_1: that is a really fine selection. I'm envious, but getting there as far as my own tie-hangers go.

Manton: the muted blue Cappelli tie really is something. Marinella is too mainstream (and they sinfully opened a shop in Milan, in the financial district no less!), Ulturale too showy, Cappelli really is old Naples.

I used to not like them at all, either, but I have warmed to them over the years. However, I basically only like the most conservative designs from Drakes/Marinella/H&B/Cappelli. The rest still stuck. Hermes and Ferragamo and VV really, really suck.

VV is a very, very sick joke. I like Drakes/Marinella/H&B. I have one print and it's an H&B. I wish we could kop Marinella woven's here in the states

Your Capelli's are nice, I'll post a pic on my monotone, boring collection.

I saw literally dozens of designs in the Cappelli swatch books that I could have ordered. The selection is superb, but it makes it difficult to narrow things down. There is very little that I just would never consider.
