I might be biased because I'm from Chicago but I'll say it. We have the best damn pizza on the north American continent. I've eaten pizza from Cali to NYC and while I've found some ok Pizza here and there, I always get this craving for some deep dish Lou Malnatis or Pizzaria Due's. You just cant improve upon perfection.

I really tried to like chicago pizza, but I can't. I really think that it is the only thing that New York does better than chicago (maybe throw pastrami and shanghia food with that)
chicago pizza is like a big bowl of cheese and sauce baked with flour.

I actually prefer italian pizza, and probrably even brazilian and argentinian pizza to new york, but new york on chicago

To bad I need to go on a diet. I have to really be in the mood to eat chicago style pizza. I'm a medium to think crust kind of guy!

Had some deep dish on Sunday & leftovers on Monday. Delicious. That's the one thing that keeps my relatives coming out here - otherwise they're (accurately) annoyed at the weather, the high sales tax, the EL, etc.

But the pizza keeps 'em coming. yum.

I'd take what you tend to find in Detroit over NYC or Chicago, to tell you the truth. But I'd take more authentic Italian over all three.

Don't like NY, because it is a bad imitation of Italian pizza. Chicago is good from time to time.

IMO Chicago even does thin crust better than NY. Pieces are so much more civil than slices.

This seems quite opposite to your and your disciples' sartorial philosophy

Making your particular style of non-pizza pizza a point of pride is... perplexing. Tell me more about your inferiority complex.
