^Hahaha, you aren't actually taking him seriously, are you?

We got absolutely told tonight. Totally fell apart. Canucks haven't put in a good 60 minutes yet in these playoffs and it finally caught up with them. You can blame the refs for part of it, but the shorthanded goal and the utter failure to put up a real fight in the 3rd were all the team not being able to step up.

Better than playing the Red Wings. We can crush the Hawks if we actually play reasonably well. We haven't done that yet aside from small spurts of life. After they tied it in the 2nd, we looked to be on the path to steamrolling them for 5 minutes or so, until the shorthanded goal completely deflated everyone and they all pretty much started thinking about game 3.

You must be watching a different game or are in complete denial. Did you happen to notice the shots on goal. You were outplayed for more than 2/3 rd's of the game. I would say you were crushed last night.

Ok follow me carefully, smarmy dude. We got crushed. I actually said that. I was watching the same game you were. We played terribly: as I said, outside of 5 minutes of the 2nd period before they scored the shorthanded goal to go up 3-2, we looked deflated, and appeared to be looking ahead to game 3. If, however, we were to play WELL, as we did many times over the last two months of the regular season but as we have yet to do for a full 60 minutes in these playoffs, we would have won both of those games. In fact any game we play as we were able to do in most of the games down the stretch, we will win over Chicago. See how those are different things?

Smarmy? From one smartass to another I guess. My point was to say if I were to say the Hawks were going to Crush the Canucks you might have a similar reaction. Also to say that if your team plays well for 60 minutes, that is the key. Well isn't that what makes the difference for most teams at this level? If your point is that with both teams playing at their best for 60 minutes the Canucks would crush the Hawks I disagree. When a team is outplaying another team it doesn't always mean that said team didn't play to their potential. Credit has to go to winning team for shutting down their game in many instances.

Regardless of what happens I think that the Hawks have shown a resilience in this series and with Calgary that people didn't expect. Saying your team looked deflated after going down by one goal and was looking to game three doesn't say much for them and I think they might disagree with you. I know the Canucks are a very talented team and will do better in the next games. I don't think either team will get past Anaheim or Detroit anyways.

I'm so pissed off I had to miss that game because of an exam, which I think I failed, but....

Caps 2
Pens 0

makes me happy (as long as I didn't actually fail).
