Carcillo is a punk. I don't know why the Flyers got him at the deadline since they already had penalty trouble, and they definitely knew what kind of player he was.

It would be nice if the caps to beat the penguins, but I really want Ovie to fight (and destroy) Crosby...

Yea, I watched that game last night in Seoul. It was a great game. But I still think that Chicago is going to pull it out in 6 games.

After the period, Crosby in interview said that was what they used to motivate themselves. And you could tell that something was going to change momentum-wise watching the Pens' bench after he picked himself up. Carcillo should never have gotten into that fight. I disagree. There probably wouldn't have been a game six if it weren't for the efforts of players like Carcillo. I agree the Pens got some momentum after Maxine lost the fight, but the Flyers' shaky goaltending and team defense cost them the game, not Carcillo.

A cheapshot artist that won't back it up by dropping the gloves? There are plenty in the NHL these days, but he's not one of them.

Stick with it and if the fans at the Garden get to you, don't go out to Long Island.

that really made me laugh. Such a classic.

The caps just dont have the depth to match up against the pens. Varlamov is going to be facing a lot more pucks and more traffic in front of him. AO has not been great at all so far, for them to win, he has to take over a couple of games.

That was a worrisome first period.

That was the sickest save I've ever seen.

We're lucky to not be down 3-2, but I think the Pens are luckier to not be down 4-2 right now.

The Stanley Cup is the oldest trophy in professional sports, and is said to be one of the toughest to win. Maybe the super-bowl, if it was best of seven with 4 rounds.

It just amazes me to see a player get their teeth knocked out from a stick-in-the-mouth, and to come out the next shift, score a goal, and spit out a mouthful of blood. Or diving head-first in front of a chunk of rubber flying at 100mph during a penalty kill just to ensure the puck doesn't reach the net. Or playing nearly half a season with a broken finger as an effective member of the team.

I can't think of another major team sport where a player would give so much determination for his team just to win the championship.

Several NHL players have told me that after the near collapse of the league a few years ago, Hockey is now rigged, like wrestling, to maintain fan interest. Certain rivalries are scripted, as are the playoffs.

Possible. But you can't script Varlamov's save on Crosby. I'll still watch. . .
