Ya, that bit was great. I'm really looking forward to The Brothers Bloom. I kinda liked this guy's look too. And Nora Zehetner is cuuuuute.

Although unbeknownst to me at the time Bottle Rocket epitomized that late 90's thrift store cool I tried (and still try) to copy all through middle and high school.

This has been my mission since seeing this film several years back.

Tyler Durden is one of the sleeziest and yet also steeziest characters in a film. When I read the book I pictured him looking more like Kurt Russell than Brad Pitt.

The kid wearing those PF's is an old elementary school friend of mine. He's now a fire fighter in LA.

I grew up watching nothing but classic westerns (Shane, Wild Bunch, Sierra Madre, High Noon, etc.) and war films (Bridge over Kwai, Tora Tora Tora, Sands of Iwo Jima, etc.) so that while they are the defining part of my style they play a part. Then again, by the age of twelve I had rented out every single Hitchcock made but still think the looks from those films are too "adult" for me.

Something I've always appreciated about the wardrobe in westerns is the sense of having to "dress up" while not giving a **** how you look or real concern about the fit (obviously Hollywood sucks out the realism at times.) Not to go too far off topic but that's the part that sucks at times about having an interest in clothes: too much concern and premeditation instead of wearing something that just fits.

I think I've just seen way too many movies to pick just one for my style.

The original Get Carter with Michael Caine. Most Guy Ritchie movies have pretty good wardrobes.

Kung Fu Hustle and Dark City were both good too but in very different ways.

Yes to 2046, and pretty much any Wong Kar Wai and Wes Anderson. I wish I had reason to dress like this on a regular basis: Also, pretty much anything Jude law wears in Alfie or The Talented Mr. Ripley.

Also you should check out what Jude Law wears in real life. He is easily one of the best dressed male celebrities.

Alain Delon's turn as Ripley in the Purple Noon was better than Jude Law's wardrobe (I just remembered that Law didn't play Ripley): I also prefer Dennis Hoppers' clothes from when he played Tom Ripley in the American Friend: Both movies are also much better than the American Talented Mr. Ripley. I just rewatched Serpico recently. Pacino covers a lot of ground, from early 60s preppy to wayout hippie. The costumes are great.

Ok, might just be the Dodge Challenger, but Kowalski's steezy as ****.
