I like the Spitfire XVI. I think I might get that.

This is what I wear. Getting a Rolex is definitely about choosing a recognizable status symbol over something rare or unique. But the GMTII-c is a fantastic steel sports watch. A lot of people miss the red-and-blue, but the ceramic bezel is a definite improvement, as is the updated clasp. The updates are probably an excuse for jacking up the price, but it's worthwhile since I don't see any reason I can't wear this as my daily watch for the next twenty years.

The DeepSea is very large and very heavy. It's not just big in terms of dial diameter; it is very thick and heavy because the case is reinforced to withstand enormous pressure. Also, the text on the inner lip of the watch is considered unattractive from a design perspective by a lot of people.

If you want a ceramic diver's watch, you might want to wait for the updated Submariner to come out in steel next year.

Fantastic. Love the red-tipped hands - I hadn't seen this edition of the Tangente before.
