Can I wear a khaki suit with black shoes & tie to a summer wedding?
Thinking of getting these shoes, but don't want to make a sartorial mis-step.

Thanks fellows!

You could-- those shoes are a tad heavy, however, and black is not a natural mate to khaki. I'd do brown shoes and a summer-ish tie.

If you're buying new shoes, get brown ones. If you only had black shoes and wanted to use them with khaki you could do it...it wouldn't be optimal, but you could do it. If you're actually buying new shoes though, you might as well get brown.

You can wear them with a khaki suit, white shirt, white pocket square and black tie. i cant think of any other way that wouldnt look better with brown shoes.

black + khaki = IT manager. Might as well throw in short sleeve button down with tie but no jacket.

Those are nice shoes. If the suit fits perfectly and is well made, then I'd wear it with the black shoes.

As mentioned, it can be done. But will look rather bold and I think th tie has to be black in that case.

I think it'd look pretty good with a silk knit tie; I'm thinking navy.

I pretty much agree with this. I think it would look good. I also agree that those particular black shoes are too bulky looking for a light summer suit. Other than that, darker brown shoes would be better.
