My mother had a thing for white bucks. I assume they were stylish in the '50s?

And yes, I also wear sandals.

Summer only for ye Clarks? I wear those year-round. Except when it rains, crepe soles are bad news on my city's sidewalks on the hills.

Summer shoes are usually some ugly ****, Whnay can wear some because he lives in the dirty south and probably drives a beemer to work. If you live in NYC and take the subway nobody wants to see part of your smelly, sooth infested feet. It's a context thing...

For vacation though knock yourself out.

But anyway the point is that it's ok if you drive and the place you go to isn't some ultra-dirty urban nightmare.

Car shoe is quite a bit more expensive than Tod's in HK. During the tod's sale, the driving shoes are about HK$1800.
