I'm looking forward to wearing my BB Peal calf/suede specs this summer. Any thoughts on caring for these? Aside from carefully applying conditionner and wax on the calfskin, should I treat the suede with suede spray?

C&J have a spectator called the Gerrard 3 on the 348 last in bracken leather and stone canvas in a UK E width. Retail (including VAT) is listed as UKP265.

If I thought it would fit me, I'd buy it without hesitation!

I cheated - I have a copy of the C&J catalogue for 2008-09 and it's listed in there.
I don't know if any of the usual dealers have the Gerrard, but you should be able to order it directly from C&J, although their delivery charges are rather steep. According to the catalogue, they charge UKP30 for delivery to the US and Canada and UKP40 to the rest of the world.

Quick question: how does one care for the canvas part of the shoe? I've seen a pair of beautiful burgundy calf and beige canvas captoes and I'm considering them. What's worrying me though is the maintenance part.

I sorta liked the EG specs on the 202 last (brown + beige fabric), tried them and was considering purchasing but finally came back to my senses and realized there's no way I'd wear them so purchasing is pointless. If you keep a tightly edited shoe collection and resell when you have too much specs are out.
