**** man, ****. I've noticed this trend too. But not only is the Mr. Men thing happening, but it has spread to Pokemon and a cutesy anime Japanese boy. This has become the new "list 25 facts about yourself and tag 25 people"

That Mr Men thing has not reached the UK yet, to my knowledge. I hope it never does, that is some god awful ****.
The terrible thing is here we get all the worst parts of US culture, but only seem to get a little of the good stuff, plus we cook up some pretty awful stuff just for ourselves. That Mr Men stuff sounds so marsupialed I am certain we will get it sooner or later.

The crappy March weather has allowed for the return of Stereotypical I-Think-I-Am-So-Hot Herd Girl. They usually look unshowered and sport:

-Uggs or similar monstrosities
-Baggy sweatpants, tucked into said Uggs
-Baggy sweatshirt
-North Face jacket over sweatshirt

Replace "sweatpants" with "leggings" and you have an entirely new beast!

gawd, I hate it when they wear baggy sweatpants... actually, I hate all sweatpants worn in public. Especially the ones with "juicy" on the butt. I much prefer these sorts of things.

Here the weather has gotten pretty good, which reveals something for the stupid fad it always was, but was not noticeable till now - wearing brightly coloured hunter wellies (galoshes in american I think).
I was in a cafe ordering some food to go and in walk three girls, one in regular shoes - so they clearly were not going mountaineering, the other two were in brightly coloured hunters without a spec of mud - and the sun was shining and not a cloud was in sight. They are not even very good wellies, just a stupid fad.

The most irritating looking of the girls then prominently took out a sketch book and started to draw - in the 3 or 4 minutes she had to wait for her sandwich, I did the decent thing and looked over her shoulder, all the drawings were complete crap, I feel if you are going to do this in public you should take some art classes first.

There was a pic on a facebook I saw the other day with 5 girls, one was "decent" at best and some were overweight. The caption read "models obvi". I'll have to post it up when I get home.

Another trend is to post up your "modeling pics" on facebook, aka you went to a studio and paid someone to take your pictures leaning up against a brick wall in an alley, so now you're a model.

Heh, I was in Econ class today (little bit wet today) and I'm sitting there at my desk, and one girl was sitting there with polka dotted wellingtons, white dots on black boots... then another girl walks by and she's wearing the same exact boots (color, straps, everything matched). Such an unimaginative culture today
