insanely comfortable-----the polyester is burned out, as it were, leaving only the cotton behind (i think that's how that works)----in any case----they DONT hold their shape----and you must wash before wearing so you dont get acid on your skin-----and like TRIP BALLS

I have one of the J crew long sleeve broken in Ts...very nice. Just glad I got it on sale. Marked down from ~$35 to 15, then 15% student discount. Target also has similar broken in ones. The target ones are 50% cotton 50% poly, but feel just like the J crew. Only difference is the Jcrew doesn't have cuffs, which is nice. I just ordered some American Apparel Ts, should be here monday or tuesday. I also have a few white Merona (target) T shirts that are comfortable and fit well...my ex GF actually said she liked it. Can't say I've ever heard of a complement on a plain white T.

Many of the softest, thinnest shirts are some of the most expensive that you'll ever see - like maybe DRKSHDW or Ann D. Durability is an issue unless price is not!

I like Jerzees t-shirts personally. J-Crew are also nice but I can get the Jerzees in bulk really cheap.

Sunspel kicks everything else **********. Super soft, lightweight and excellent construction. They use long staple egyptian cotton, and the fit is great. You can get them on Sierra Trading Post quite often for decent prices (STP always has coupons for 10-20% off) - I have about a dozen.

If its good enough for James Bond and Batman its good enough for me.

I have a couple of John smedley t shirts which use sea island cotton so i doubt you'll find a softer t shirt. Trouble is unless you can find them on sale they're very expensive at 70gbp.
Those who wear sunspel what size would i need for a 38" chest ? According to there size chart i think i may be in between a small and medium

2xist makes really soft tees for wearing around the house. At a slightly higher price point, James Perse is legendary for softness.

Uzi burnout tees are extremely thin, soft, and comfortable. I use mine for sleeping shirts.

It's funny, but I have an old banana republic tee that's so thin and soft, but nothing they make now comes close to it (BR that is).
