I couldn't seem to find the 'this or that' thread...

I don't know **** about watches, I just know that I can find a watch similar to the JCrew/Timex one for less than 150.

I did a little looking on ebay... can someone who knows a thing or two give me some feedback on my choices or suggestions as to a solid watch that can be had for 75$ or less?

This is incorrect. The more elastic material you add the more they will "give" but they will "stretch" less.

The will feel "stretchy" but won't stretch the way 100% cotton would.

I have a Seiko 5 and I have used it for a year or two as my primary beater. While I like its simplicity, it isn't terribly accurate after a few days and the reserve lasts about 12-16hrs. I'm also unimpressed with its ability to hold a charge to glow in the dark. I'm sure I'll end up going back to it every once in a while but for the present I'm using a standard battery-powered watch with tritium.

Was there ever a response to this? Which belt should I get from LGC? Also how's the sizing on the weejuns?

If they don't make plimsoles, chucks, etc.. in my size (extra wide) would black sneakers be a huge blunder with Chinos and a tee (either the Jcrew Eclipse blue, or darker British beige color)? I have some Clarks but for just casual I really can't stand the weight.

They're still around as far as I can tell. I guess we just haven't heard much of them since Mauro parted ways with them. But their website/blog still has a bit of recent activity from a few months back.

Most anyone can pull a Fred Perry off.

Outlet stores in the UK have them for around £28 ($42), so I don't doubt eBay will have some in your price region.

I have a red (non-tipped) and a green (tipped) which look dapper on a hot summer's day.

Be careful on ebay as there are a lot of fakes. I'm sure GetSmart knows of some places with sales going on or that have lower prices. I think he knows every stockist in the world

When buying a blazer should I choose a size thats 2" up from my chest? So if my chest is 34" I should look for a 36-38 blazer?

^^ Most blazers and outerwear is sized for the tagged size, so a 34 would probably measure 36-38.
