Is there, or has there ever been, an international tailoring contest, a la World Series of Poker/Iron Chef etc, to "objectively" rank the world's top tailors (as if they could even be bothered to enter such a thing if it existed)?
I recall a 3 part documentary series on Savile Row in which there is a tailoring competition highlighted in one of the parts, dont recall the name of it.
there's no place for savile row perfectionism in a 1 hour tailoring competition.
On the basis of this years winning competition, it doesn't seem to be an accurate judge of good style (although I am sure the Kilt/Morning Coat combo was beautifully made (...)
