Amex bill pain...

so Amex has this online feature where it graphs out your spending by category.... for my current statement, it works out to be: 80% Merchandise 16% Dining 3% Travel 1% "Other Merchants" hmmm....i think i might have a problem

Where can you find this? I only get a bar graph split by dollar amount.

so i guess what it says about me is.... i spend all my money on clothes and other stuff, but then i never go out or have enough of a life to use my purchases enough...

I was just glancing over my year end summary and found they put things in the wrong category. I noticed a jacket I had made by my tailor was filed under "communications."

Dang last year I was about 70% travel & 15% dining

I spent $36k USD on travel and dining

Paid my bill every month on time. My credit score has gone down 250 points; explain that!

Did you pay your bill in full every month on time? If you didn't that is why your score went down.

AMEX is a charge card, you have to pay in full every month. Yea they offer some customers that flex pay nonsense, but I don't think any rational people take them up on that "perk."

I get paid a certain amount daily for expenses while traveling. I try to spend as little as possible and pocket the rest.
