Your favorite suit label?

Isaia by a wide margin. RL Signature comes second for me, especially the Jerome cut

I'm with gd203 above -- Isaia far and away. I prefer the Stewart or the S over the V...the latter has roping and is a bit fuller in the chest, but the S model is pretty sublime for OTR and will hold up over the years in terms of classic style.

Only issue I have with it is that lengths tend to vary quite a bit in the jackets, but they are excellent for anyone with an athletic build.

And, for what it's worth, my Isaia's always draw more unsolicited comments than anything else I own yet people can never say why (as opposed to, say, a Brioni).

My fav's are:

RLPL (St. Andrews) - seems to have the best fit on me as they are usually slightly short in length.
Borrelli - I have yet to try one on in my size that doesn't look amazing.
Isaia (base S) - again, the cut works for me.

RLBL fits me the best by a wide margin...when I tried it on for the first time it was like something clicked and I felt like my search for the proper fitting suit had ended.

I hope for the sake of my wallet/closet that they don't look dated down the road...

Corneliani makes up the vast majority of my wardrobe.

Anyone ever try on Battistoni? They are way too expensive for my budget, but I did manage to get one on sale at the Barneys warehouse sale for 80% off. Very minimal soft shoulders, not unlike Lanvin.

Isaia fits me off the rack like a dream, and thus makes me happy too.

Yes, the everyone hates Gucci... (in my defense I got it on a huge discount ), both Tom Ford era and afterwards.

and yes, the everyone hates Versace... (also in my defense, I got it on huge discount on a Gianni Versace Couture, was my first fully canvassed suit for that matter, though I don't really care about that kind of thing)

Kilgour and Richard James, have seen some I liked, but only bought Richard James so far (again on huge discount), the pants runs too baggy though.

I have yet to find any Ermenegildo Zegna/Corneliani/Isaia/Brioni/Kiton that works for me. I think the next one I would try is Borrelli.

I would give RLPL a try if they make 36S, but they don't. 38S is just a bit too loose for me (and their MTM program isn't exactly cheap, at that price I would go somewhere else).

I always need a slim fitting suit, as my build is rather small, 5"7' close to 5"8', 144 lb. That is usually a bit awkward size, as a 38 would be just a bit too big and 36 might or might not work depends on the brand (a 31 waist is also not helping...).

^i really wish I was your size. 31 waist and slim figure is always my dream. I hate being man boobed, bloated stomach and trying to cinch up a size 34 pant. I look terrible in suits so I got to really look hard. Slim figures can pop any suit on and look like a mannequin.

Of the designers I like versace as well. One of the better silhouettes amongs the mainstream designers.

6. Borrelli

OTR: Isaia for BB GF
MTM: Corneliani for PRL

I've never paid more than $4k for a suit though.

I purchased mine in either late 2003 or early 2004.

They used to. Now Caruso does the italian Golden Fleece.

Interesting... They still make the Paul Stuart SC suits, right?
