Yes, they invite the interviewee to Chuck E Cheese, discuss the interview topic over pizza, and then sit them down in the Chuck E Cheese portrait booth to keep things cost effective..

Their standards have slipped...no arguing that point. Example:

Yes, I know that he is instantly recognizable, but still, where's the art of it?

I don't know. I thought they were still doing them by hand, but I could be wrong.

The old technique, for anyone who's wondered, was to take a photograph and blow it up to 8x10 or so. The artists would then create a stipple drawing of the same size. When it was done, it would be shrunk down to 1" high or so.

I'd add the following as they reek of interesting places:

CIMG0029.jpg

This one because it reminds me of the wonderful coffee shop culture of Sydney.

This one because of the Canterbury Cathedral- the Man of Kent knows how to use backdrops.

This one because xchen knows how to use props to hide what he is wearing.

Nice additions.

I'm saving xchen's "We would all hit it," photograph for the month end summary, but no reason not to post her twice.

It is quite remarkable how invisible he is in that photograph.
