personnaly I switched to a job in a very casual office (country side england, tiny company) and instead of going sneakers I gone suede slip on. something similar to this:

I keep it leather but understated as it is suede.
also I second that I wouldn't wear sneakers with a suit.
for elegance you can find really fine sneakers like with mantellassi.
