stilmacher's Venetian pic is comfortably my favourite, with maomao's (I think!) blue DB second, but I'm very flattered to be picked twice in the short list. Nice selections, as usual, vox. Thanks for keeping going with updating the thread.

In time, this digest will be an excellent reference thread to point to new members.

I actually had two completely unrelated WSJ interviews today.

What do I do? Before, I spent 25% time on snark...these days, it's up to 36%, or more than a third.

Don't sell the man short - he's the #1 producer of snark for consumption in the continental US.

I always assumed you spent your time on here whilst cowering minions did the real work.

Perhaps being on the other side of the pond explains why I've no idea what WSJ stands for - Western Snarking Junta? World Society of Jugglers?

Thank you for the totally unfair inclusion.

Zach Bromer, a 29-year-old Washington attorney, says he still plans to shop for himself (and others), but more strategically. "The state of the economy has made me more conscious," he says. He won't trade down from high-end brands, like shoemaker Edward Green, but he says he will buy less frequently and wait for sales.

Ain't it a beyotch?

It's pessimists like you who tanked the economy, and caused the creation of threads like GDL's infernal No Purchase Club, which has sprung up amidst StyleForvm like a shanty town in Central Park.

What do you mean, "wait for sales?"

Just makes me cry.
