Young (28) Victor Glemaud, known for his bright palette and carefree simplicity (as opposed to conceptual, complex, philosophical, scientific, politically themed shows that are as common as can be) has kept it even simpler this spring, opting for just the upper torso, paring it with some levi's and gucci loafers that make you realise how nice levi's can look. This collection, like all of Victor's is pretty fun and quite welcoming, comfortable, I can see this being very wearable and adaptable.

Here's what men.style.com had to say..

While it is "simple" and "uncomplicated", it is also mind-numbingly boring.

You can't be serious, this is simple, uncontrived, affordable and easy on the eyes.

I understand how it can seem boring to many, there's not a whole lot going on, but does there need to be? For summer, less can be more. There are still little details that seem to go unnoticed, such as the swiss cheese holes on sleeve hems, double hems at the bottom of shirts, gradient pink at the bottom of one of the black shirts under the white cardigan. Compare this to polo ralph lauren, tommy hilfiger, etc, some of the most simple brands out there, yet through their roots in culture, they say a lot about the person wearing them (maybe I'm exxagerating a bit, but still). Anyway, have a look at his fall collection, as it's more 'interesting' than this one, http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=106077 .

Oh and this is going to get me some flak, but I believe it, most of this stuff isn't as boring as the many western shirt selvage denim red wing fits you see in WAYWT. Anyway, agree to disagree.

I'm not exactly the biggest fan of most of the "western" shirt/jean outfits but they at least usually look alright. The different colour schemes in this suck (see long sleeve/cardigan), dont like the fit on the white pants, the white shorts look terrible, and the polo's/henleys etc are pretty boring.

The fall collection thread has the same images and this set of pictures doesn't inspire me to go look up the fall collection.

Boring and bad at the same time. The only thing that isn't TERRIBLE to my eye is the blue polo with cream coloured accents, but... Come on... This did not deserve a posting.

Sorry to beat a dead horse but, what is wrong with the fit of the pants? Not tapered enough? Not skinny enough? I think its spot on and a very classic fit without being too baggy, I'd go so far as to say these photos have made me think about getting pair.

This and the other season you posted just do nothing for me. Of course a lot would depend on price, but the basic pieces certainly wouldn't be cheaper than, say, Uniqlo, and I don't see why I'd want to search out this guy instead of just getting simple, low-cost basics from there.

For the non-basic or more styled pieces, they are like watered down Paul & Joe, which itself is nothing stellar. I just don't get what he offers that would make me choose him when there are so many options at all pricepoints. Other pieces, like the cut-off shorty shorts and the fruity messenger bags, are bad... like Andrew Mackenzie bad.
