Those are suede. The shoes are not for formal wear. they are nice though... just not for your wedding.

Well I know they are suede! We aren't going for formal - the rest of the wedding party will be in suits. I thought the suede would be more subtle but still have "a little something to them." Maybe I should just stick with a black cap toe oxford?

You arent going for formal but you are wearing a tux. You seem like you want to have a little fun with your shoes though... dont just get a black cap toe oxford!

I would go for patent but something distinctive. Perhaps a medallion on the toe or something like that. Of course plain toe would look good, but I got the vibe that you wanted to be a little different. I dont know why I assumed that, perhaps I was wrong...
