Bangle wasn't head of the project was he? I thought it was van hoolydonk or whatever the dutchmans name is.

Right, but to the extent that Bangle was responsible for the E65's Bangle Butt, he's responsible for all of those cars. Which is to say, he supervised the design department, but individuals under him came up with all of those designs, loved and hated ones. You can certainly blame him because he was in charge, but he should get credit for the good ones done under his leadership as well, like the E46.

I have a picture from munich of his design study where the butt was first used... omfg it's so bad. It's somewhere in Iphoto just gotta find it...
