I was given a ticket to the Domenico Vacca Fashion show.

Surprisingly they was 70% womens to 30% mens.
the men's garments were nice but nothing to get too excited about. there was one navy overcoat that I actually liked. Sadly, the men's clothing all had the same fit issues across the back and the shoulders did not hang cleanly. Could he have hired a couple of tailors to make sure the jackets fit?

The women's collection was quite oppulent, Most of it was really Russian slut wear. there was one dress made from a worsted Cashmere that was very elegant.

they spent quite a bit of money to bring in a number of Male celebs including Michael Nouri, Forrest Whittiker and Mickey Rourke, whose foot I almost stepped on.
the most amusing part about dressing the celebs, was that both Whittiker and Rourke who were seated next to each other, were wearing the exact same striped shirt, but in different colors. Dark stripes with big white buttons. three buttons on the collar. Is he the only designer left showing three button collars?
Sadly his high priced "opulent" clothing will show up on the Oscar red carpet, but at this point very few closets

Oh, I'm wearing Domenico Vacca trousers in that pic with Forest Whitaker.

I don't know if Domenico Vacca was different in the past, but it seems just slightly less gaudy than Stefano Ricci these days. The ties are disgusting.

Harsh. Has it gotten that bad?

Maybe I just have a low tolerance for that kind of thing, but I think it's pretty bad. The shirts all have multi-button collar bands with contrast stitching. The last time I was there, they were selling a black shirt with grey stripes and red stitching. The ties are all shiny, four inches wide, and as thick as tube socks. All the patterns are 'fancy'.
