Manton, put FNB on ignore.

It would be more accurate to say that I am an example of the Peter Principle.

I used to think so too, but I've been using it on certain irritants recently, and it feels pretty good. Of course, I may be weak.

Thanks, J. Do you mean this wool plaid one>

If so, it's not altered at all. It's a medium, which on me in a close fit for the Bedford. On other Bedfords that I have, I also do a large for a slouchier fit...like this knit one:

Manton
and mafoo embody meritocracy? Wouldn't someone like Ed Hayes or Piobaire embody that?

Represent and embody are related, but not the same thing.

And my point is tested more by what is expected and normal than what is surprising and exceptional.

You can be so naive, sometimes (which, to prove that I have read this thread, is not the same thing as dense.)

From the summit, the men toiling in the valley and the men living on the flanks look equally tiny, and there is nothing to distinguish one from the other.

Pish posh.

I can pick out the ones with big heads much more easily, even without binoculars.
