We all remember Manton's BlazerSuit thread: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...ght=BlazerSuit. However, scrolling through an old thread bumped from the dead, I have stumbled across some disturbing information...Whoopee actually invented the BlazerSuit!! http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=15359 His Chan suit = 9.5oz (as opposed to 10oz) navy fresco cloth, patch pockets, horn buttons, matching trousers; it doesn't have swelled edges nor the chest patch (and is 1B), but otherwise is virtually identical. Note the date of the thread, which is two years earlier. I felt it my obligation to make this knowledge public; that is all.

Copied wrong threads for some reason, I updated with the true version.

you don't call a permutation of existing elements as "invention".

It is not a BlazerSuitâ„¢ if there is no intent to wear the suit jacket as an odd jacket.

It is a BlazerSuitâ„¢ if there is an intent to wear an odd jacket as a suit jacket.

Get it?

I disagree. I think the BlazerSuit is format-defined, not intent-defined.

You mean it is style over substance abuse?

Kind of a moot argument since "Whoopee" says he plans to also wear the jacket as a blazer in the post.

Who reads Whoopee's posts anyway? That's perverse.

What, are you saying you weren't the least bit curious to find out how the guy ended up with this?

As said, he intended to wear it as an odd jacket as well. But I agree with you, nonetheless.

Blazer suit is a Navy uniform.

These come in single breasted or double breasted.
