That's a given.

Because I'm trying to avoid pedantic arguments.

I guess you are. I didn't direct any of my comments toward anyone besides the people saying stuff like 'my prayers are with you'. It strikes a nerve with me because it's crap. Do you really care about the situation? Did you even read his post? He posted it here as a vent, not to have people invite themselves into his life and act like he's welcome to the Coping With Death club. Like I said before: pretty much everyone's been there and people handle it differently. Assuming you know about the situation and offering sympathy for a person that died that you don't even know is beyond shallow and responding with a standardized American Greetings-esque formality to a death just cheapens their life.

There's no good way to argue this point any further since you have the trump card of innocence and pity on your side.

If you think I'm just being a dick then you're just being an ignoramous. Death rituals vary around the world.

Being suicidal doesn't make the person intellectually marsupialed.

i think you may be socially marsupialed.

Great job Why of making every thread you post in about you. You're not a dick, just a jerkoff.

I'm not going to dignify this with a response. This is ridiculous.

I apologize to the OP for having to put up with this in his thread.

I'm purposely keeping my comments impersonal.

I hate to jump in on this, but you have completely hijacked the thread.
You may be impersonal, but that doesn't stop your comments from being completely insensitive and definitely in bad taste. If you really want to discuss this, do it somewhere else...

Some real class showing here from all sides. All but the OP should stop posting on this thread.

I don't mind if other post at all. Some things I've read in here have all been really good and I've gotten some good PM's.

I was posting for two reasons.

One, my way of dealing is talking about it. If I don't, I just let it build up in my head.

Two, I didn't know if I can help anybody. If I could stop one person from doing it, it would help me out a great deal.

Don't mind why, he has the Internet Asperger's Syndrome (ie, lacks textual communication skills, demonstrates limited empathy with his peers, and is mentally clumsy). It's really an unfortunate disability.

JB, I'm not sure why you'd air laundry like that on SF.

I'm not sure why you would bring it up a second time in the same thread.
