Doesn't Aero guarantee fit? I thought that meant they would remake your jacket for you (free) if there were any sizing issues.

I was hoping someone here could provide more info.
I'm not even sure what language it is on their website.

I found someone who has a similar jacket made by Izreel.
The person who has it told me it was from a few seasons ago and cost 150,000 yen.
Just letting some of those interested so that hey have a starting point on where to look.
I guess it is somewhat modernized by the zippers, makes it less "costumey"?

Where did you get that jacket? I really dig it and if I were to get one I'd get something like it.

^^It looks very much like a USAF A2 Flight Jacket. You have two options for acquisition: Join the USAF and complete flight crew training. Complete your five year term of service required after completion of flight training and them buy the jacket from the govt. when you separate from service. Perhaps a more reasonable option is to go to www.uswings.com and buy one!

PS: The USAF issue version will have a rectangular Velcro patch (for your name tag) on the left breast of the jacket.

^^ What Eagle said. Or, you can check out Aero and Vanson; both make very good A2 jacket repros.

Vanson is based here in Boston MA and they have both horsehide and cowhide versions of the A2. I have three Vansons but none are A2s (I use mine for motorcycling). They make good stuff. They offer custom fitting if you are a weird size but I have found that many of their jackets fit the typical guy (i.e. 6" drop). I think they call their A2 the Mustang Fighter Pilot jacket or something.

Aero is based in Scotland and generally works with horsehide but they do a bit of cowhide as well. You'll have to deal with the GBP/USD exchange rate but right now the exchange rate is the best it's been since the mid 1980s so instead of paying $799 for an Aero you are generally looking at $625 or so. Aero will also take about 8-12 weeks to make your jacket (I'm at 10 weeks on my Aero Highwayman, grr) but the price includes custom fitting. Go to eBay and look for their US store.

HTH!

Here are some of my leather jackets. The 3 waist length jackets are from "The Leather Ranch" of Canada.

My criteria for deciding which jackets to buy is:

1. Fit (of course)

2. Soft comfortable high quality leather

3. High quality construction

4. Unusual design

I like leather jackets that show off the skill of the manufacturer. These jackets are usually made from smaller pieces of leather and sewn together in a interesting design. I gravitate more toward this style of jacket, than jackets made from a few larger pieces of leather sewn together in a simple basic design. The latter style is nice also. However, since I am drawn more toward the unusual, my jackets all have a little more complex construction.

Really? Are they that ******* cheap that they can't give a free jacket?
