So I come from a culture VERY unconcerned with style. From my father-in-law who thinks men should never wear cologne, to my uncle who wears oversized pants and jackets. At a recent dinner, my brother-in-law of 24, said how I dress looks "too gay". I asked why, and he couldn't really answer but he went on to say, that I shouldn't part my hair and that I should stick to black more often since "it goes with everything" and that I "shouldn't wear sport coats all the time". He doesn't wear loose fitting clothes but I think his clothes are too small for him, which he responds by saying he likes tight fitting clothing. He's mostly into Armani Exchange, ALDO, and Banana Republic.
I didn't know what to say. I just shook my head in silence. By SF standards, I'm average, but how would one respond to something like that??
