Went to Botero to use some dining credit as they wouldn't allow me to use it at Alex. Dry-aged New York strip was alright. They have "Japanese Kobe" on the menu which the server claimed to be A5. If it is then it's the cheapest price per oz I've seen at any restaurant. $175 for 7oz.
Sides (tater tots, mac and cheese, frites) were average, but the desserts (chocolate souffle, "milk and cookies", sorbet) were good.
Other meals were the safe bets, Bouchon and LOS, both always good.

Delmonico was excellent when I was there in May. I had the bone-in ribeye with an Old Ghost zinfandel. Superb.

Thought about my alltime WORST vegas dining experiences.
Commander's Palace in Vegas was the worst facsimile of an original I've ever tried. And then, of course, the aforementioned Craftsteak dinner.

A couple of my friends tried Cut and Charlie Palmer's a few weeks ago -- thumbs up on Cut, thumbs down on Charlie.
I've also been to Delmonico Steakhouse (Emeril's restaurant) and Prime Steakhouse (Jean-Georges') a couple of times each and would recommend both.

Off. Just a bit east of the strip on Sahara. Great, authentic Thai food but I'd recommend you go for dinner and avoid the lunch buffet. http://www.saipinchutima.com/

Not wanting to start a new thread, what is a good Vegas Italian restaurant that has decent wine prices? Our people I think would sacrifice some food quality if we could get some decent prices on bottles of wine. Preferably on the Strip or close. Last time we went to Casa d'Amore (off the strip) and they had 1/2 price wine night on sun/mon but we aren't going to be there on those nights.

Last time I stayed at Hard Rock, they had all kinds of wine specials in AGO

Good idea, I haven't been to the HR in awhile and didn't hear about this place. I guess they used to have a '50's style steakhouse called AJ's but maybe this was the restaurant that replaced it.

need a recomendation - taking some Japanese businessmen out to a meal in Vegas, I'm staying at the Belagio. p;refer not steak, not sushi. any recs?
