Picked this suede monk up last year or so and just pulled it out of my closet. The shoe is a handgrade.

Inside shoe reads:

X48521 which is stamped, not hand-written.

Any thoughts as to the last? It fits well and I'd like more.

That was my guess, but the 337 doesn't fit me as well as the 348. Any idea on how Barneys rebadges their C&J sizes? Half or full size down?

Thanks,

My firm belief is that Barneys goes 1/2-size down. That is not the 348 tho.

I'm pretty sure it's a full size. The 10.5D Belgrave at Barney's fits me the same as the 9.5E UK at T&A.

They mark them a half size up. They generally fit like a full size up. (UK 9.5E will be marked US 10D and fit like a US 10.5D.)

Occasionally, they will also mark a UK D width (US B) as a US D width so then you will have to size up even more. (UK 9.5D will be marked US 10D and fit like a 10D with a slightly elongated look.)

Confusing? You betcha!
